CivicView continues to bolster its position in the Local Government Solutions market with the appointment of Mark Smith this month.

Smith joins CivicView in a new “Product Specialist” role at the organisation, bringing more than a decade of international consulting experience across numerous verticals including the Local and Federal Government Sector, in addition to , Higher Education, Property Development, Tourism, Finance and Insurance Industries to his position.

The appointment represents expansion of the existing Customer Services Division to support growth of the national client base and continued interest in CivicView from new regions.

Smith joins a team of Consultants already deployed across eastern Australia, supporting clients with on-site implementation, customisation and training services for CivicView – an enterprise management solution developed for local government.

“We’re delighted to have attracted such talent and experience in Mark,” said Peter Hodgkin, Development Manager at CivicView.

“His experience in the government software industry and ability to interpret client needs into software customisations and training is an asset as we expand the Customer Services Division,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to the numerous challenges that a diverse and growing product such as CivicView can provide. I look forward to working with and learning from the CivicView client base,” said Smith.

Smith’s appointment represents ongoing investment in resources at CivicView to sustain recent growth. With over 15 years experience, 2010 was a bumper year for the organisation winning a tender with the official local government procurement partner for Queensland LocalBuy, and numerous implementations across Western New South Wales.
