CivicView, the enterprise management solution for local government will be exhibited at the annual ‘Outback in Front’ conference in Brewarrina in February.
Set to attract 150 General Management delegates from 13 shire councils across Western New South Wales, the conference will feature CivicView as a locally-developed alternative for rural councils.
Delegates will have opportunity to review functionality used by local government organisations across the state, including Cobar Shire Council – a council in attendance and a CivicView site for over 11 years.
“CivicView meets all Cobar Shire Council’s requirements and facilitates our input to regular upgrades and enhancements,” said Rates Officer Jo-Louise Prisk, who attended the CivicView 2010 User Group in Sydney last month.
Coonamble Shire Council in central-northern New South Wales is also among the national client base, recently selecting CivicView to replace a Fujitsu system for its 30 staff.
“We wanted a solution that addressed the issues faced by multi purpose rural shire council” said Coonamble Shire Council’s Director of Corporate Services, Rick Warren.
“We believe CivicView offers a sound functional and affordable solution for a council of our size and purpose,” he said.
The two day conference is designed to facilitate collaboration between members of the Western Division of Councils of NSW on initiatives that will help to address important regional issues and challenges throughout the year.
“Evidence of CivicView’s capability to facilitate the objectives of regional councils is in our client base,” said CivicView’s Ben Cronin.
“We have a long-standing association and positive reputation with regional New South Wales councils, so I’m looking forward to demonstrating how CivicView is the best solution to help these councils overcome challenges specific to the rural environment,” he said.
In addition to contracts with Deniliquin and Jerilderie Shire Council in recent months, CivicView was selected as a ‘pre-qualified supplier’ of council business systems by LocalBuy, the official procurement partner to Queensland Local Government earlier this year.
“We’re excited to be able to present ourselves as an experienced alternative that may have simply been overlooked in the past. CivicView has successfully sustained a diversity of sites for more than 10 years. I think it comes down to our support focus – a critical requirement for regional sites” said Cronin.
CivicView has been developed in collaboration with regional New South Wales councils. Supported locally by a team of consultants across the South-Eastern coast of Australia, CivicView is an Australian product currently used by more than 1,000 local government employees across New South Wales.
